Then, in the body of the email,
tell us a little bit about yourself :
Who You Are
Where You're From
How long you've been in business
What business are you in?
What keeps you in it?
Be as brief or chatty as you like. Once you're signed up there's a real info form to fill out.
Then hit "Send"
Last, but not least,
Remember a couple of things :
5 Paid referrals = 3 months free
as many times as you like
Placements are ruled by complementarity
It's about the volume of traffic
Only a "Storefront" or "Building"
subscription can re-sell placements
Basic Subscription Storefront BuildingYou will be contacted shortly via email with a Welcome Letter and a link to PayPal.
Once your payment is processed, please allow 3-4 business days for your placement to become active.
For those who have chosen a "storefront" or "building" level subscription, the process is the same. Kootenay Mall arranges all placements. Your package simply comes with a few more details.
Hyperlink
The Basic Subscription includes a single hyperlink placed strategically among a mix of complementary businesses. At the low price of $10/month, or $100/yr, your advertising on Kootenay Mall is less costly than almost any other option available.
But there's more.
At all times you may access the "3 for 5 Option", where for every 5 new paid referrals you get 3 months free.
Rather than a single company being heard above the crowd on the internet, KM is leveraging the many subscriptions to market a specific crowd of businesses to a specific crowd of Shoppers- from an office at home.
That means greater value at a much lower price.
Yes Please: Basic Subscription
Storefront-Level Subscription
The Storefront-Level Subscription is a greater value not only because it places your hyperlink on the street view, which is what Shoppers see first when they visit any page on KM, but also because it gives you a standalone page as a host for other links.
Just as a coffee shop may advertise for a coffee company in-store, or a pub would carry signage for breweries, your Storefront carries additional hyperlink placements that you can re-sell (**There are a few rules**).
In the event that your Storefront begins to generate more traffic, there is a potential for increased value to your KM placement, while your costs only increase at a predictable, incremental rate year over year.
I Definitely Want a Storefront
Building-Level Subscription
The Building-Level Subscription offers a value similar to the Storefront-Level, except that your placement can re-sell up to 50 other links to local businesses.
Some Heritage Rules apply: If your space is an image of a real building in your town, then it must be named after the real building, and the image cannot be altered to differ from the actual. Similarly, if your building is created by Kootenay Mall, it must look like it fits within the other buildings in your town.
Be advised that, just like owning a real building, you want to have a plan for making this subscription work for you.
Why Shouldn't I Just Use a Free Service?
Not saying you shouldn't. I would just ask the question:
Is it free, though? Really?
Kootenay Mall was born after I added up the hours spent learning to take decent pictures, size and resize them, change the file type, photoshop them. After learning to make videos and upload them and then learning to create my own website on several popular services, and then spending time posting on social media and filling out forms for google maps and yelp etc etc, all that time added up.
AND THEN I had to get my work noticed on the internet.
There are many words for that, but "free" is not one of them.
I think you know what I am saying.
There is an easier way, and Kootenay Mall is it.
This internal direction banner above leads to KM Sales pages at present,
But, as you can see, there is plenty of room for tasteful advertising
Without the chaos of distractions, lists and visual 'noise'.
Just like the Kootenays, KM is easy on the eyes.
